In the 1970's the C.A.T (Cable Avoiding Tool) first illustrated the fact that a low cost and reliable avoidance tool could be used by anyone in need of preventing a costly and potentially deadly cable hit. Twin differential antenna technology enables interference rejection and improved locate response. The key element of the C.A.T is simplicity. Outside of some basic familiarity with the instrument, no special skills are required.

GENNY
The Genny signal transmitter works with the C.A.T (Cable Avoiding Tool). It supplies either a "direct connection" signal mode for optimum locate accuracy or an "induced" signal mode when direct connection access is not possible.
